Imitation Journal

(due every Thursday)

For every grammar point we study, you will find 3 examples from native speaker reading material. You may use a textbook for your credit class, a novel you are reading or any of the sources below. You will then write an original sentence using the very same grammar as your example.

Copied sentence: “By the time the Bainbridge arrived five hours later, the pirates had left..” The Seattle Times, May 14, 2009

Your own sentence: By the time the teacher walked into the room 15 minutes later, the students had left.
